OPTICAL DIAGNOSTICS ON FSI ? TRANSPARENT ENGINE

摘要

The paper describes optical measurements on Volkswagen FSI ? transparent engine.Optical measurements are necessary to provide extensive research of injection, sprayforming and combustion in real conditions. The knowledge, described in this paper(from year 2002, authors six months study), is used in the DI gasoline engine developmentto lower cold-start HC emissions up to 30%, fuel consumption up to 20%and power output up to 10%.
