This paper concerns the micromixing in viscous media in tanks. Micromixing in a tank was examined by Iodide-Iodate reaction system and a new parallel competitive reaction system. The influence of viscous and stirred speed was studied by Iodide-Iodate reaction system, and the new system was used to examine the influence of stirred speed to validate its applicability. The new parallel reaction system is composed by the reaction between PS-TMI and MAMA and the reaction between PS-TMI and ε-CL. Results indicated that the mixing condition improved with higher stirred speed and eddy engulfment is the key factor in micromixing of small molecular and diffusivity is major control step in macromolecular system.
