Civil & Architecture, Water & Electricity and Electrical & Mechanical are the three main engineering categories in the planning of Rapid Transit System (RTS). The appropriately use of the contracting models is the key to the project success. The decisions made in this procedure are concerned with the complexity and coordination of the construction interfaces as well as the compatibility and the integration of the system. The determinations should be considered seriously because of the impacts on the schedule, quality and cost of the construction phase. Therefore the contracting models of each Taipei Rapid Transit System (TRTS) Lines were organized into six models for the study. Firstly, the criteria were established for the further experts' evaluations of their weights based on the AHP method. Then the performances of these six contracting models were evaluated by utilizing the Triangular Fuzzy Number. Consequently, the "F model" is found to be the better one through the performances ranking.
