摘要

This paper describes the legislative efforts in several countries and regions to facilitate and promote the improvement of construction worker safety and health. In particular, the legislative frameworks in Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Europe and the United States are examined. The paper concludes from the examination that the value of legislation outside of the United States lies in the requirements of all participants in the construction process to make safety and health a mandatory priority in a structured way.
