The following are the main conclusions of this study: 1. Transit program should focus on using urban street system more systematically and provide for "people movement" over vehicular movement. 2. Transit terminals should be designed to be secure and areas of activity. 3. It is important that all equipment's used should be well researched and tested under extreme conditions to reduce breakdowns. 4. A balance needs to be found between the needs of transit customer, the merchant and non-transit commuter
