PIPS : A Cluster-based Parallel Remote Sensing Image Processing System

摘要

Remote sensing image processing brings a question of large data which has been a bottleneck of applications and researching of remote sensing. Cluster-based parallel remote sensing image processing system PIPS shows a effective way to overcome it. PIPS is running on LINUX and complies MPI standards. Many experiments has proved that PIPS can afford a receivable parallel efficiency with low cost hardware equipment. Moreover, PIPS is friendly'for experts who know remote sensing applications well and parallel computing less in developing their own parallel application implementations.
