Preliminary Investigation of Geological Heritages(Geosites)in Vietnam

By the recent geological data, in Vietnam there are many characteristic geological phenomen non as geological heritage sites for on - site museums and geoparks, there are many beautiful natural scenery nets for tours.According to the preliminary investigations, 192 sites are classified into 10 geosite types of GILGES system. They are as follows:1)Paleontological,25; 2) Geomorphological, 35; 3) Paleoenvironment ,4; 4) Rock (ig neous, metamorphic, sedimentary),26; 5) Stratigraphic,32; 6) Mineralogical, 18; 7) Eco nomic, 23; 8) Historic, 10; 9) Astroblemes,2; and 10) Continent/Oceanic geological features -7.
