摘要

The amplification ratios of energy and current are important factors on the design of helical explosively-driven magnetic flux compression generators (HEMCG). In order to enhance the amplification ratios, the article analyses the difference of the device efficiencies between direct feeding and indirect feeding modes under the same original conditions. Meanwhile the design principles of the inductance of the HEMCG coil are also given. Then a modified HEMCG is designed and manufactured. The primary experimental results show that the modified HEMCG can output about 139kA pulsed current and more than 38kJ energy on 4μH inductive load with a current risetime of 12μs. The amplification ratio of current is 14.2 and the amplification ratio of energy is 14.4.
