Blends ― An Emerging Trend for FR Solutions

The ever increasing cost of new molecule development and commercialization is focusing more research in the development of novel blends of FRs and other components. This is especially true as companies move to find non-halogen FR solutions. This paper will discuss by polymer some of the existing examples of FR blends and their performance, some recent examples of new blend technology and the claimed advantages and some known common antagonistic effects between FRs and other additives.
