The CD-ROM has modified the access and the utilisation of information. As a consequence, user habits have changed and libraries workingrnprocedures and organisation, too. An examination of the data referring to the Document andrnInformation Distribution (DID) Index emphasizes a close collaboration between user and do-cumentalist and a considerable increase in information distribution.
