An Efficient Measure for Real Time Information in Dynamic Scheduling of Steel Continuous Casting

This paper analyzes real time information produced by process control and monitoring systems in thernsteel continuous casting plant. It proposes scheduling repair and rescheduling strategies to handle the realrninformation. By presenting two measures for determining the value and impact of real time information on thernschedule, the model uses real time information to improve the dynamic scheduling model of steel continuousrncasting.
