Threshold Voltage of Cholesteric-Nematic Phase Transition for Reflective Displays

The reflective cholesteric texture mode using planar and homeotropic textures, where active matrix driving such as in a thin film transistor (TFT) is necessary, can achieve a high contrast ratio. In this paper, the threshold voltage of cholesteric-nematic phase transition, an important characteristic in active matrix drive schemes, is discussed.
