Comparison of Several Multiple Antenna Multiuser Detectors in Wireless CDMA Systems

Two main problems in CDMA cellular systems are multiple access interference and multipath fading. To alleviate these problems, two usually used methods are multiuser detection and space-time coding. Many of works on multiuser detection are done for single antenna systems. In this paper, we study the multiuser detection in multiple transmit/receive antenna CDMA systems. We analyze the combination of linear and non-linear multiuser detection techniques with space-time block coding methods. We also compare the performance of various multiuser detection techniques in multiple transmit/receive antennas by computer simulations.
