ARCHITECTURE DESIGN OF EXTENSIBLE MULTI-MEDIA MICRO-BROWSER SOFTWARE

摘要

The mobile Internet is one of the emerging computer communication domains. The browser-enabled mobile handsets open a new opportunity for the multimedia services. The author presents the issues and challenges in the mobile multimedia communication software. The author discusses the architecture design criteria for the extensible multimedia browser software. With constraints in the mobile handsets, the multimedia communication software on the mobile handsets is expected to be more network-centric. The author presents the three different mobile multi-media evolution scenarios and discusses the resource-constraint open extensible architecture.
