摘要

Experimental study of scattering from a large sphere (ka1) located in the far field of a transducer emitting very short pulses has been developed. A transducer with high directivity is used to explore the scattered Geld around the sphere. The different scattered waves have been discriminated by their theoretical arrival time, and computed using geometrical considerations and acoustical reflection laws. Three cases of spheres behaviour: high and low impedance mismatch between the sphere material and surrounding water and hollow air filled sphere has been considered.
