The railway transportation plays an important role in the national economic development, as the speed of trains become faster and faster, the load capacity of trains become heavier and heavier, people pay more attention to the safety of railway transportation. The train wheel is the important part of carrying the train, it is easy to result in the mechanical damage on the wheel such as wear, crack and peel in the process of running, and these will seriously affect the safe operation of trains. This article mainly introduces a technology about detection and regulation of residual stress on the train wheel surface. By completing the relevant tensile experiment, testing experiments and controlling experiments, analyzing the results and the function of regulation. Eventually we find an effective way to detect and reduce the residual stress on the train wheel surface.
