摘要

The control of manufacturing processes is a prerequisite for an economic production. Besides securing the production of high quality products, process control allows manufacturing at technologic limits. Because of the fact of steadily rising complexity of components and manufacturing processes, the task becomes increasingly difficult and therefore is a big challenge for process control. This is especially true for micro manufacturing processes. The following article describes and evaluates several statistical methods for signal analysis in the subject of preventive tool break monitoring in micro milling.
