The presentation gives a summary and explains details of the newest developments and latest experiences with Inline Dispersing Machines, which have started to displace the High Speed Dissolvers in the lacquer, paint and printing ink production. In many cases the agitated media mill is substituted as well. Technical parameters determining the dispersion effect and quality like shear gradient, specific dispersion power, energy density and specific liquid surface during powder addition are up to 10.000 times higher compared to a HSD. This leads to a much more intensive dispersion and better qualities in a shorter time. Typical economic effects are: 1. Reduction of production costs to below 10 % 2. Reduction of production times to below 20% 3. Reduction of energy costs to below 30% 4. Production with just 40% of the operators up to 400% more product 5. Minimum space requirement 6. Lower investment costs 7. Cost savings in raw materials.
