1. Atmospheric air studied in municipal waste dumps Barycz, Krzyz and Boleslaw, around, near and away from them, as well as at control points contained many microorganisms that occurred in various number and variable microbiocenotic composition. 2. Following items were isolated from studied atmospheric air and classified: 2.1 56 bacteria including 4 disease-forming ones; 2.2 38 actinomycetes; 2.3 49 fungi including 15 toxin-producing fungi; 3. Microbial tests, particularly comparison of species composition of isolated microorganisms revealed that municipal waste dumps Barycz, Krzyz and Bolestaw were not the only sources of atmospheric air pollution with microorganisms in a zone of studied waste dumps influence.
