Influence of potential soil deformations on soil pressure at rest upon retaining wall

摘要

A new approach is proposed to determine soil pressure at rest as a starting stage for "deformations - stresses" analysis. Depending on potential direction and kind of possible structure deformations, pressure at rest may be characterized not by one fixed value but by different values. Necessary calculation dependencies are obtained for numerical modeling and its results are presented.
