Instrumentation and interpretation of precast segmental tunnel linings in the Line 8 Madrid Metro extension 1999 -2003, Spain

摘要

This paper examines the instrumentation and monitoring of the tunnel lining placed during the 3.37 km of tunnel constructed by EPBM, for the 5.86 km extension to Line 8 of Metro of Madrid. The instrumentation comprised of vibrating wire earth pressure cells and strain gauges. The analysis of the results has been undertaken using "classical" analysis techniques and recommendations are made as to which of these methods is the most appropriate for the Madrid ground conditions.
