The paper present a model reduction method, to find the equilibrium state of geometrically complex structures which have invariant properties in a direction. Based on finite-elements formulation, it consists in the projection of the unknown fields on a polynomial basis in order to reduce the dimension of the problem and the model size. Two types of finite-elements are proposed for the case of nearly-incompressible hyperelastic materials, the first one for plane-strain problem and the second for prismatic structures. Comparisons with classical finite element are provided to show the reliability of these methods for the determination of global and local behavior.
