The Deployable Boom Assembly (DBA) is asubstructure of the SAR-antenna (SAR = SyntheticAperture Radar) for the SAR-Lupe satellite. It carriesthe feedhorn and the down-link horn. At launch thesystem is in stowed position to fit into the launcherfairing. In orbit it will be deployed and will position thehorns with high accuracy. There are various effectsperturbing the alignment of the horn. This paper dealswith the analytical and experimental verification of theposition accuracy of the DBA horns with a special focuson thermal deformations.Remark: The pointing stability of the spacecraft itself isinfluenced by the DBA but also by many other effects;so there is no direct relation DBA pointing stability(even better called position stability) to the S/C pointingstability.
