The multi-stage gasification systems represent one of the most promising methods to generate clean and sustainable energy in future [1].The thermo-chemical process of the multi-staged gasification gives, on closer examination, some possibilities to accomplish optimal energy savings.The pinch analysis is one of the most established methods to achieve this aim by systematic evaluation of the existing heat flows. It is a tool to reduce energyconsumption, to recover heat and to improve operability and it can be applied to nearly every process, to design new plant-concepts and also to re-engineer already existing plants [2]. The appliance of the pinch analysis allows using the existing heat sources of the gasification process without leaving almost any energy unused either within the process or by transferring it to following processes which are not directly linked to gasification.
