Electrochemical techniques I.e. potentiodynamic polarization curves and polarizationrnresistance (Rp) measurements were used to study the hot corrosion behavior of twornintermetallic compounds I.e. FeAl and Fe3Al with minor additions of Ni, Ce and Lirnexposed in a NaVO3 salt at 700 ℃. The results showed that the intermetallic alloysrnwith single additions or co-doped disclosed better corrosion resistance than the Fe-Alrnintermetallic alloys by several orders of magnitude. On the whole, the FeAlLirnintermetallic alloy has the greater resistance to hot corrosion. Since the FeAl alloyrnwithout additions showed the greatest corrosion rate, the influence of the alloyingrnelements on the corrosion behavior was of paramount importance.
