The paper presents the results of experimental research investigating newrntechnologies in the field of obtaining bimetal pieces with a sublayer of Fe and a wearrnresistant layer of high-speed steel powders obtained from recovered slurries. The recoveredrnslurries were collected in the rectification process. These types of pieces have an iron basernabove which is placed a layer from a superior alloy. The superior layer is made of recoveredrnpowders high speed steel from slurries obtained by washing, drying, milling, screening,rnreducing, annealing and magnetic separation. The preparation methods of the slurry havernbeen investigated by the authors in other papers already published [1],[2].The aim was tornobtain through powder metallurgy, wear resistant surfaces for bimetal pieces similar to boltsrnused in measuring devices with high dimensional wear resistant stability.rnThe research objectives have consisted of:rn- the obtaining of recovered powders;rn- the manufacturing of bimetal parts with the disposal of the durable material on onernside.rnResearches have been made on three main directions:rn· The obtaining of bimetal sintered parts on which the wear layer contains only highspeedrnsteel powder with 1% (percent) zinc stearate;rn· Wear layer obtained by powder mixture containing 15% Rp + 85% Fe(iron)rn· Wear layer obtained by mechanical alloying containing 15% Rp + 85% Fe
