Effects of multi-pulsed ion beam ablation to flyer acceleration were discussed in order to improve it in this paper. We demonstrated it numerically by using a onedimensional compressible fluid with a real gas equation of state. Forming large amount of ablation plasma was important in order to accelerate the flyer efficiently. We considered two approaches as optimizations of an interaction field, which was defined between the ion beam generated position and the flyer surface, and multi-pulsed ion beam. It was clarified that the interaction field affected the flyer acceleration. As the interaction field decreased, the flyer velocity increased. We obtained that the irradiation of the multi-pulsed ion beam onto the flyer increased the flyer momentum more efficiency than that of single-pulsed ion beam irradiation.
