Structrual features and redox equilibria in several iron phosphate glasses with batch compositions similar to 40 Fe_2O_3-60P_2O_5 (mol percent) and those containing Na_2O and UO_2 have been investigated using Moessbauer spectroscopy , X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), differential thermal (DTA) and thermo gravimetric (TGA) analysis and X-ray and neutron diffraction.
