Phosphorus, barium, and lead are components prevalent in a number of hazardous and mixed waste streams. The effect of these three components on waste glass properties was examined by systematic addition of P_2O_5, BaO, and PbO to a base glass consisting of Al_2O_3-B_2O_3-CaO-Fe_2O_3-K_2O-MgO-Na_2O-SiO_2. The chemical durability of these glasses was examined using the EPA TCLP test. The melt viscosity, melt conductivity, and liquidus temperatures of these glasses were also measured.
