Including Renewable Energy Technology as a part of Environmental Engineering Course for E.E.E. Branch

摘要

International concern for avoiding global warming has resulted in enforcing strict rules on controlling of emission of greenhouse gases. This growing concern for environmental protection along with the growing demand for electricity has necessitated augmenting electricity generation capacity through renewable energy technology. The importance of everyone being aware of environmental aspects related to their field, is clear from recent introduction of an environmental subject to school/ college students. This paper discusses the need for including some topics on renewable energy technology to this compul sory course, with specific relevance to the branch of engineering considered.
