摘要

Environmental disturbances and pollution are global complex problems. Efforts and environmental protection work has been and is presently being conducted in all countries. It is essential to formulate sustained efforts and develop infrastructure and control systems for environmental protection and remediation technologies.rnThe United Nation conference on environment and development held at Rio de Janerio in 1992 and world summit on sustainable development in Jahannesburg in 2002 have drawn the attention of people around the globe to the deteriorating condition of environment. It is clear that no citizen of the earth can afford to be ignorant of environmental issues. The problems of pollution, loss of forest, solid waste disposal, global warming, the depletion of ozone layer and loss of biodiversity etc. have made every one aware of environmental issues.
