Phytoremediation,using plants to remove or stabilize a contaminatnt in osil ro water,rpvides a low cost,efecitve,and non-invasive mehtod to remeeiatie an contaminated area.to date.fast growing Eucalyputs grandis,e.Camaluduensis,E.amplifolia,and cottonwood tees have shown the opotential oto remove nitrogen and phosphorus from sewage efluent,stormwater,and agriculatrual runofrf when grown inspecially desifgned wastewater receiving systems.
