Nowadays, the improvement of engineering efficiency is presently one of the mostrnimportant issue within the industry field. Engineering coordination through information controlrnis often taken as a means to resolve this issue. PSA Peugeot Citro?n has decided to explore thisrnapproach, and has consequently decided to deploy Systems Engineering. SE provides anrnadequate and structured approach for the development of the new vehicles. Vehicles can bernconsidered as complex products. Manufacturing Systems also. Because of its industrialrnbackground, the SE Framework of an automotive company must take into account therndevelopment of the products, but also the development of the related manufacturing systems.rnThis study is the answer - on theoretical aspects - to the following problematic: how can optimalrnco-ordination of the engineering of a complex and mass product and its associated manufacturingrnsystems can be reached in reality?
