IMPROVING THE ENGINEERING LITERACY OF COLLEGE STUDENTS SHOULD BEGIN WITH ENGINEERING TRAINING

At present most university's teaching base of engineering training has become the largest practice teaching platform in school, but engineering training course is not brought into all professional teaching plan.Compression of teaching time leads to high quality teaching resources are not fully utilized.Thus many students lose the opportunity of improving engineering literacy and exercising practical ability.This paper puts forward to bringing the engineering training course into all professional compulsory courses, and discusses how to make the university's practice teaching base with rich practice teaching resources to efficiently serve for undergraduate teaching from engineering training course offering, module classification, content of courses, software and hardware construction and so on, strengthen multidiscipline integration, expand the vision and cognitive ability of students, let students recognize that "Interlaced not hills, interlaced undivided science".Engineering training course can improve students' engineering literacy, and make students more competitive in the future.
