摘要

In a typical design process, requirements or descriptions assigned to products are transformed into visual and descriptive forms of a desired technical system. This paper outlines a methodology for integration of marketing and product design data to enable designers to accommodate customer requirements based on product attributes. Customer requirements are gouped into basic and compromising attributes using Quality Function Depolyment (QFD) techniques. an algorithm is proposed to make trade-offs between compromising attributes, design features and an organisation's manufacturing capabilities.
