Boiler & flue gas tramp air (air In-leakage) have observable and stealthy impacts. This paper covers these impacts and associated costs, introduces developments proven to improve power mill reliability & safety, ensure emissions compliance, and enhance mill productivity & profitability. Specific sealing option case examples for boiler, flue gas path and air pollution control equipment (APC), alternative sealing technologies and financial, operational & environmental results achieved will be discussed.
