摘要

The synthesis of 3,3-bis(bromomethyl) oxetane (BBrMO), in small scale, from commercial available 2,2-bis(bromomethyl)-3-bromo-propan-1-ol could be improved in comparison with the published methods. Two published routes were compared and one of them has been succssefully improved. The improvements are the elimination of the phase transfer catalyst, reduction of reaction time from 36 hours to 24 hours and elimination of distillation which was necessary on both former methods. The purification of BBrMO could be done via crystallisation and the yields were up to 83 %.
