摘要

Simulation of natural environments is an important field of research and application of Computer Graphics. Natural environments include natural scenery and man-made buildings. Natural scenery such as trees, flowers, water and clouds shows irregularity and roughness. Iteration Function System (IPS) is used to describe natural scenery. Buildings on the ground such as teaching buildings and telephone boxes compose of regular and smooth geometry objects. They can be constructed by 3D solid modeling. The combination of two methods is able to simulate effectively the natural environments.
