摘要

The minimum zone method has the highest preciosity in form error evaluation. In the paper, the criterion for the minimum zone of spherical surface is displayed firstly, then an algorithm searching for the minimum zone of spherical surface is given, which moves the center of the center of the concentric spheres along certain direction by certain step. So a quick evaluation method for sphericity error with high accuracy comes into being, which conforms to the minimum zone condition. In this paper, the mathematical model and formula about the algorithm has been given in accompany with the flowchart of data processing program and an evaluation example.
