The three major city gas companies in Japan, Oska Gas, Tokyo Gas and Toho Gas, have jointly begun to receive LNG based on the Indonesia Badak IV contract which started in January 1994. For this project, two LNG carriers, (the first carrier: LNG Flora and the second carrier: LNG Vesta) with a capacity of 125,000m~3 were constructed. The carriers were jointly constructed and are owned by the three gas companies, which actively participated in this project, and are now operating smoothly.
