摘要

This paper continues to document the long-term street reconstruction program in Duluth, Minnesota as previously described in a paper published in 1998 by some of the same authors (Prusak and Krzewinski, 1998). The program started in 1993, construction started in 1994. At the completion of the 2001 construction season, 38.5 miles of road have been reconstructed. The 2002 program provides for the reconstruction of an additional 6 miles of road. This program is slated to continue until all 355 miles of city streets have been reconstructed. This paper will discuss the performance of streets in place, expected life cycle costs, current roadway sections, and future modifications to the program.
