摘要

A new apparatus for measuring stress-dependent soil-water characteristic curves (SDSWCC) for unsaturated soils under K_0 conditions has been developed. The effects of K_0 stress conditions on the soil-water characteristic curves are illustrated with a completely decomposed volcanic soil in Hong Kong. Experimental results are then applied in a series of numerical analyses to investigate their influence on matric suction in unsaturated soil slopes.
