摘要

The purpose of this paper is to reveal the fundamental characteristics of sand with inherent transverse isotropy and to propose the basic constitutive model. Towards this end, monotonic loading tests with fixed principal stress axes, and loading tests with rotation of principal stress axes were carried out using a large hollow cylindrical apparatus. Through analysis of the experimental results, characteristics regarding the hardening law using the concept of a field of plastic moduli, the principal deviatoric strain increment ratio, and the dependence of the maximum principal strain increment direction on the stress increment ratio etc. were clarified taking the effect of b-value and non-coaxiality into consideration. The proposed constitutive model can be classified into the category of multi-surface model based on the theory of plasticity.
