In-situ Al-(Ti,Zr)B_2 particle-reinforced aluminium metal marix composites have been fabricated by the chemical reactions of KBF_4,K_2TiF_6,K_2ZrF_6 and molten aluminium.The overall dispersion of the reinforcing particles was analysed by SEM and EDX.Analytical TEM with EDX and EELS studies revealed that the particles are TiB_2 type solid solutions with various compositions of type (Ti_xZr_yAl_-x-y)B_2 (0
