The asymmetrical forward versus reverse - bias DC electrical conductivity (macroscopic and also nanoscopic) through Langmuir-Blodgett multilayers and monolayers of γ-(n-hexadecyl)quinolinum tricyanoquinodimethanide, C_(16)H_(33)Q-3CNQ (1) is attributable to rectification of electrical current by a single molecule.
