High dynamic performance of servo motor drives is indispensable in many applications of today's automatically controlled machines. AC servo motor control has attracted much attention recently in the power electronics field. In this paper, a high performance induction motor drive using multi-source signals fusion technique is described. In the system, feedback signals include flux, torque and zero phase sequence current. A generic architecture of the multi-source signal fusion system uses to select the switching modes. It consists of there signal units (flux unit, torque unit and zero phase sequence current unit) for each decision simultaneously selecting the switching modes. The decision output from each unit are then used to determine an overall decision by the fusion unit. It makes possible both fast torque response and high efficiency control at the same time.
