With the development of modem technology, the automation level in new style ships is becoming higher and the capacity of power station in ships is increasing continuously, I.e. the total capacity in some ship power stations has been up to several ten million watt. With the increase of the capacity of ship power station, the requirement of reliability and flexibility to power system in ships is increasing accordingly. The legacy tree-style network has a relative low reliability due to its structure features. The looped network is a better solution to improve the reliability because each electrical equipment in looped network can get power supply from two directions of the lines, which can't lose the supply due to the fault in one direction.
