摘要

The world is filled over to the brim with the e-buzz .. or -hype. Business and individuals are warned that, unless they 'e-lise' themselves they cannot make it in the electronic world. Technology is changing and, supposedly, easing our lives. But is it really? Or should we firstly take good inventory of what our information needs are before we answer these with appropriate technologies? It is almost as if the world of information economics is an inverse one. One in which the supply is far bigger than the demand and one should be careful to match the right demand to the oversupply. This paper empirically studies the South African business case of information and knowledge needs, and subsequently proposes a technology solution - both of these from an extended information delivery matrix perspective.
