Life prediction of S2-Glass/Vinyl-ester woven composites has been studied analytically using the fatigue modulus concept. Fatigue modulus degradation is assumed to be a function of loading cycle, applied stress level and specimen thickness. The method requires two distinct parameters that arise from the mathematical formulation. Two different techniques are used to determine these parameters from experimental data, and incorporated into the life prediction equations. Fatigue life predictions using this method have been found to be within 10% of the experimental values.
