AN APPLICATION OF MIMO TECHNIQUES TO SATELLITE TESTING

Multiple-Input/Multiple-Output (MIMO) techniques have been available for performing Multi-rnReference Modal studies for some time. However, recently, as the size of satellites increases, there hasrnbeen a need for performing Multiple-Exciter/Single-Axis (MESA) testing for vertical excitation. Thisrnpaper discusses the application of MESA control techniques to the testing of satellites in conjunctionrnwith the Japanese Space Development Agency in Tsukuba, Japan.
